LikeOurselves is developing a city wide mobile people map. Think of many different coloured pins on a map but each colour represents a different group e.g. startup co-founders, designers, freshers, expats etc. Users can choose a group colour and pin themselves to the map anywhere they wish and build a network of people they’d like to meet using a unique ‘double opt-in’ feature. When a group wants to get together for a beer, after a hard days work, they simply vote on the place they want to go (a bit like moving the pins together) and so enjoy a venue with like-minded people, without having to plan it a week in advance
